Some tips for planning your perfect engagement party or wedding reception
While it is true that the success of a party hinges on a lot different ingredients, some of which are free of you, there are also facets that you, as the organiser, have got complete mastery over. Logically, these aspects concern the planning phase, everything you arrange from the minute you decide to have a party until you receive the 1st guest. Among your first concerns will be that of being ready soon enough. Lets see just how hard or easy that can be.
Although there are party service suppliers that can do everything for you, most people might want to attend to the planning themselves and use the money thus spared to increase the party budget. That commands, however, expert time management.
It all begins with a careful image of the party itself: the number of people you intend to invite, the reception, the food and beverages and music you might would like to include. Distinguish the separate steps you need to do and ascertain how much effort each of them will take. Also, design a sequence for all these steps. Once all of these isteps are laid out in detail, youll know precisely how much time you will need for the plannings.
There are fundamentally two conceivable situations: you recognise the date of the party, in which case you should start working back from that day to ascertain when you need to start the preparations; or you know when you're free to begin attending to the arrangements and you adjust the date according to that.
Whichever situation might apply, you need to afford yourself deadlines for all aspect of the party you need to clear up. Be rigorous with your deadlines and allow for two to three days lead time for each just in case something goes wrong. That way, you will not just have an gratifying party, but also an enjoyable preparation.
